Our Shipping Policy
How our Products get to your Door
By processing your payment and completing an order with us, you accept the following terms and conditions regarding the shipping and delivery of your order.

All orders are packed and aim to be shipped within 7-10 days of placement (dependant on production size of resource request), excluding weekends and public holidays.

All resource request orders placed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be contacted directly by Tactile Collective to establish a price and production time.
Australian Orders

After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation containing your order details (if you have provided an email address). Once your items are packaged and dispatched from our warehouse you will receive an email containing the tracking number which you can use to check the status of your delivery via the Auspost website.
For the majority of deliveries, we use Australia Post, Parcel Post or Blind Post. Please note that for special orders the delivery can take up to four weeks depending on the size of the resource request order. Braille resource shipping is free due to the 'postage for the blind' concession, however, merchandise will have a flat rate fee of $9.95.

Worldwide, most of our products and some publications in large print can be sent by free post under the Blind Post scheme. Blind Post offers no guarantees of delivery or insurance for valuable items. We therefore have to apply delivery charges for some high value products which need to be sent by a special delivery method. Where a product incurs a delivery charge, this is highlighted in the product details and will be added to your order at checkout.

Tactile Collective endeavours to deliver any goods, services, or merchandise ordered within 5 to 10 business days, from confirmation of your order. If the goods are not received within this time, please contact us on 0422 499 807 to notify us of the delay and ensure that the purchase has been processed. Due to COVID-19, Australia Post's delivery service will not require a signature and will only deliver with Authority to Leave. This means that Australia Post will not require you to sign for your order. Your order will be left in a safe place so it is ready and waiting for you. Australia Post will also take a photo of where your order was left.

If you do not want Australia Post to leave your order in a safe place when you are not home to receive it, please ensure you provide clear instructions in the notes field when placing your online order with Tactile Collective.

NZ GST:
15% NZ GST is included in the price for orders shipping to New Zealand.
GST is paid by Tactile Collective at the border for shipments to NZ.
Shipping delays due to Customs | NZ

Due to COVID-19, and the limited resourcing currently required at airports nationally, Customs has an opportunity to look closer into the trade space to ensure that all due revenue is being collected.
​
Beginning from 03/08/2020 and for a period of approximately six weeks, Customs will increase the amount of inspections undertaken at the Auckland Air Cargo Inspections Facility, and will likely be turned around within a 48 hour period.
This targeting exercise is in addition to the current holds Customs has in place.
USA and Canada

Shipping Time:

All purchases in Canada and the United States will now be shipped via DHL courier service, with an estimated shipping time of *3 - 7 days. All orders placed before 2pm AEST Monday-Friday will be processed on the day, anything placed after this time will be processed the following business day. Please note, we cannot control processing delays in customs or additional delivery time to locations outside mainland US and Canada.

Rest of the World
​
Australia Post is experiencing international delivery delays in all destinations due to limited airline capacity and government restrictions as a result of COVID-19. Australia Post is working with partner airlines and other postal operators to move items as quickly as possible and clear backlog.
“Economy Air” international delivery service has been suspended for parcels and Economy letters containing merchandise to all countries, territories and regions effective 3 April and until further notice"

International Customs Fees
​
All custom fees, taxes and any other additional costs associated with your purchase overseas are the responsibility of the customer. These are not included in the cost of the order or shipping fee.
We suggest contacting your local customs office if you are unsure of the applicable taxes and customs fees that are relevant to your purchase. Tactile Collective is not responsible for any additional taxes and customs charges that are requested during the shipment of your order. We do not offer refunds for these costs.
If an order is refused by a customer due to custom fees, the parcel will be held for 2 weeks and then be abandoned if these fees are not paid in this time. Tactile Collective is not responsible for the handling or refunding of an abandoned order.

Order Tracking

Once your order is packed and leaves our warehouse, you will receive an email with a tracking number so you can track the progress of your order.

Additional Information
​
Above delivery times can change depending on the time of the year, holiday periods, weekends and severe weather. We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages or packages delayed in transit.
Tactile Collective does not provide refunds to customers for failure to pay duties and taxes associated with their order.

All our prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and do not include local taxes and import/custom duties for international orders.

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide the correct shipping/delivery address for an order. If the wrong delivery address is provided, Tactile Collective cannot offer reimbursement for this package.
